Home Elevators

Home elevators are the ultimate solution to make all levels of a home accessible. We group our elevators into two general categories: Through-Floor Lifts and Hoistway Elevators

Through-Floor Lifts

Through floor lifts are essentially a self contained carriage that moves along a rail system through an opening in the floor.  The system is generally not enclosed by walls and takes less space than a Hoistway elevator.  These units come in models that will suit single standing users, multiple standing users and wheelchair users.  Through floor elevators are often the most practical choice in an existing home.

Hoistway Elevators

Hoistway Elevators are housed within a vertical hoistway or shaft that runs from lowest floor to the ceiling on the top level. This hoistway is built and framed like other walls in the house Each floor has a door to access the hoistway and the elevator carriage travels up and down inside. Hoistway elevators offer more options and higher weight capacities than Through-Floor lifts and in most cases will accomodate a wheelchair user, multiple standing users or a combination of both.  Hoistway elevators are often the most practical choice when planning to build a new home.

PVE Pneumatic Elevators

PVE are true Hoistway Elevators but differ from others in several ways. The hoistway is a clear acrylic cylinder rather than a conventionally framed shaft. The elevator comes in a range of sizes, some smaller than other hoistway elevators. These units are installed equally often in a retrofit type situation as they are in new construction.
